GVAA Field Hockey
Our Goal:
To coach players at every skill level of Field Hockey and encourage great teamwork, good sportsmanship and a passion for the game.

FALL FIELD HOCKEY 2024
GVAA Field Hockey – Fall Program
Introduction
GVAA field hockey will be offering two options for Fall 2024!
Players in Kindergarten - 2nd grade can join our Instructional Clinic to begin learning or further develop their Field Hockey skills. This is a great chance for them to learn what it is to be part of a team, meet new friends and stay active learning a new sport! The Instructional Clinic will run once per week for 8 weeks.
Players in 3rd-8th grades can join one of our teams to play competitively in a fall league! Teams will practice twice per week and play in one game each weekend. Practices will begin in late August, and games will run September - October.
Player Requirements
- Open to all players (male and female) in K-8th grades
- Outdoor stick, mouth guard, and shin guards required.
Season Dates
- Practices will be held in Walkersville beginning late August.
- Games (for league teams) will be once per weekend.
- Games run September through October, 2024.
Registration Info:
- Instructional Clinic (K-2nd): $75
- League Teams (3rd-8th): $150

Uniform
- Team will provide a reversible pinney
- Solid black athletic shorts (must provide your own)
- Gold shin guard sleeves (available for purchase from team if needed - $10)
Equipment Required
- Outdoor field hockey stick
- Shin guards
- Mouth guard
- Tennis shoes or Cleats
Financial Assistance
We do not want money to be a barrier to any child that would like to play. If you need assistance paying for the fees, please reach out to let us know how we can help. We do ask that if your player receives assistance though, that they are still fully committed to their team and your family helps out in whatever ways possible.
