Season Information

Expect an 8 game season starting in late March or early April (spring season) and September (fall season) for our 1st/2nd grade through high school teams. These teams will play other teams from Frederick County and surrounding communities. Players must have or purchase a club uniform for these age divisions.  Our U6 program is entirely in-house, and players will receive a Lions Soccer shirt included with the registration fee. Practices are held at Heritage Farm Park, and usually begin one to two weeks prior to the start of the game schedule.  You will be notified by your coach when practices will begin.

Depending on availability and interest, we may also organize teams or activities during the winter and/or summer.

Age Divisions

Our U6 program is in-house with all activities held at Heritage Farm Park. The focus is on having fun, developing basic soccer skills, and hopefully starting a lifelong love for the game. All activities are coed.

Our 1st/2nd Grade division teams play in the Frederick Fours league. Practices are held on weekdays at Heritage Farm Park. Games are held in a 4v4 format on Saturday afternoons against local teams at Ballenger Creek Park. Teams may be boys, girls, or coed. Our 3rd/4th Grade through High School division teams play in the United Recreational Soccer League (URSL). Games will be a mix of home games held at Heritage Farm Park and away games held at the home fields of other clubs in Frederick County and the surrounding area. We aim to have separate boys and girls teams for these age divisions, though this is determined by the number of registrations, and teams may be combined into coed teams when necessary. Uniform Information

Players must have or purchase a club uniform for our 1st/2nd grade through high school division teams. U6 players will receive a Lions Soccer shirt included with the registration fee. Uniforms for our 1st/2nd grade and older teams will be purchased through our team store at Soccer.com. Ordering instructions are as follows:

Step 1: Go to soccer.com and select Find Your Team Store in the upper right corner of the page
Step 2: Enter GVAA in the Team Store Name field, and you will see our club appear below. Select Lions Soccer/GVAA Soccer.
Step 3: Under Collection, select 2023 Rec Uniform. Enter your player's last name and desired jersey number and select Go to Team Store.
Step 4: Select sizes and proceed with your order! The jersey will have the number selected printed on the back.
